The recent strong easterly wind decreased overnight producing the best day of the spring so far. There was a push of visible migration during the morning and later in the day a few grounded migrants were found including a group of 8 Waxwings. Also found today were another Iceland Gull and a new Yellow-legged Gull.

Offshore
14 Wigeon east, 2 Teal east, 75 Common Scoters, 13 Red-breasted Mergansers, 10 Red-throated Divers east, 4 Gannets east, 1 Great Crested Grebe east, 15 Kittiwakes east, 2 Sandwich Terns east and 2 Auk sp. east. Also 2 Harbour Porpoise.

Visible Migration
236 Pink-footed Geese north, 1 Buzzard east, 1 Merlin east, 1 Snipe east, 18 Woodpigeons east, 3 Jackdaws east, 5 Carrion Crows north-east, 3 Grey Wagtails north, 48 Alba Wagtails north, 601 Meadow Pipits north, 1 Tree Sparrow east, 5 Chaffinch east, 1 Greenfinch east, 8 Goldfinch east, 24 Siskins east and 8 Linnets east.

3 Goldcrests, 2 Sand Martins, 1 Chiffchaff, 8 Waxwings, 1 Stonechat, 2 Wheatears and 1 White Wagtail.

1 Water Rail, 74 Grey Plovers, 1,200 Knot, 200 Sanderlings, 6 Snipe, 1 Jack Snipe, 125 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits, 1 3rd summer Yellow-legged Gull and 1 2CY Iceland Gull.
