Today`s highlights included the first Manx Shearwaters of the year and Velvet Scoter offshore. Grounded migrants consisted of a small arrival of Willow Warblers and Wheatears, plus another Treecreeper.

Offshore 
143 Common Scoters west, 1 Velvet Scoter west, 8 Red-breasted Mergansers, 11 Red-throated Divers east, 2 Fulmars west, 3 Manx Shearwaters west, 8 Gannets west, 1 Arctic Skua east, 25 Kittiwakes west, 9 Little Gulls, 4 Sandwich Terns east, 16 Arctic Terns east, 1 Razorbill east and 3 Auk sp. east.
 
Further observation in the evening produced 300 Common Scoters, 1 Red-throated Diver east, 4 Gannets west, 2 Arctic Skuas east, 26 Sandwich Terns east, 4 Common Terns east and 2 Auk sp. east.

Visible Migration
1 Merlin east, 43 Woodpigeons west, 4 Sand Martins west, 24 Swallows west, 8 House Martins west, 5 Alba Wagtails north, 1 Tree Pipit north-east, 55 Meadow Pipits north, 236 Goldfinch west, 10 Siskins east, 5 Linnets east and 1 Redpoll east.

Grounded Migrants:
1 Common Sandpiper, 8 Goldcrests, 8 Sand Martins, 15 Swallows, 3 House Martins, 1 Chiffchaff, 25 Willow Warblers, 2 Blackcaps, 1 Treecreeper, 65 Wheatears, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 2 White Wagtails.

28 Ringed Plovers, 1,000 Knot, 62 Sanderlings, 55 Dunlins, 120 Black-tailed Godwits and 1 Barn Owl.
